2010 WELL WALKER PROGRAM

Branson Landing is pleased to have joined forces with Skaggs Hospital to create the Well Walker Program. This free program is dedicated to helping keep its members healthy, active and living more productive lives. The Well Walker program is designed for people of all ages, body types and fitness levels.  The Branson Landing provides 2 miles of beautiful scenery, perfect for walking. Walkers can enjoy unique shopping, entertainment and the peaceful boardwalk along Lake Taneycomo.

All registered members receive a welcome bag full of goodies that'll help get your walking program started off on the right foot.  Visit the Branson Landing Management Office to sign up today!

2010 LABOR DAY WEEKEND FEATURING THE MDA TELETHON
Join us as we celebrate Labor Day weekend in a big way! Not only do we have an exciting lineup of concerts and events – see below – but we will have a ton of fun ways for the whole family to get involved, have fun AND…help Jerry’s Kids and the local Muscular Dystrophy Association. In addition, the CBS television affiliate KOLR 10 with Anchor Tom Trtan, will be on property, broadcasting select events on Sunday and Monday for the MDA Telethon, for local viewers to enjoy.

Don’t miss the Labor Day Weekend Concert Series benefiting MDA & Jerry’s Kids. “Take a Seat” this Labor Day Weekend and enjoy the exciting concerts in front of the Branson Landing Fountains - from your very own Chair! Sunday, September 5th: Start the afternoon off with a special NOON concert full of praise and worship music from Beyond the Walls, a contemporary Christian Band from the Springfield, MO area – playing all of the favorite cover songs from bands like Casting Crowns, Third Day, Mercy Me and more. The music continues into Sunday as we welcome from Indianapolis, Indiana – The Souled Out Band. Recognized as one of the best Dance, Party & Variety Bands in the Midwest, the Souled Out Band will amaze all with their spirited stage presence, dynamic musicianship and their known trademark…the always hot and always energetic…horn section!

Monday, September 6th: Join us for a day of family fun on Labor Day – featuring performances by The American Kids as they Take the Stage for MDA & Jerry’s Kids! The American Kids are a “Little League of Entertainers” sharing their talent gifts of singing and dancing with their local communities. You don’t want to miss this talented group as they “Dance the Day Away for MDA” to raise money for Jerry’s Kids! The dance-a-thon will begin at NOON with performances scheduled throughout the day until 5:00 PM. K-LIFE TANEY COUNTY RUN-WALK
 
Join us for this community event where we welcome runners, walkers and families of all levels and abilities. All proceeds from the race will benefit K-Life Taney County where our mission is to... "Provide unconditional friendship for youth."
 
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three Male/Female Runners as follows:
1st Place: $100
2nd Place: $75

The race will begin AND end at Branson Landing with Race Day Registration taking place at 7 AM in front the fountains. Packets may be picked up between 7 - 7:45 AM in the same location. The race will begin at 8 AM. This course is mostly flat through quiet residential areas, along Lake Taneycomo. The Race begins and ends at the fountains in The Branson Landing Town Square.

Branson Landing is excited to welcome back M-Dock on Saturday, September 4th to kick off the Labor Day Weekend Concert Series benefiting MDA & Jerry’s Kids.  Mark your calendars, because you don’t want to miss this group of 10+ guys with a playlist that spans over four decades.  From the acoustic sounds of Crosby, Stills and Nash to the rock and roll soul of the Rolling Stones and the Motown horns, the M-Dock Band performs it all.  The band consists of Howard Cotner (vocals and acoustic guitar), Bill Evans (vocals, acoustic 6 and 12 string guitars, mandolin, mandocello and harmonica), John Price (vocals, electric and acoustic guitars), Brent Hendrix (vocals, electric guitar), Dave Farabee (bass guitar), Rick Davidson (drums), Steve Quinn (saxophone), Bryant Robinson (trumpet), Greg Hale (keyboards), Larry Pittman (percussion), and Bob Swanson (trombone).    Back by popular demand, The M-Dock Band - performing on Saturday, September 4th at 8pm in front of the Branson Landing Fountains.

THE SOULED OUT BAND - LIVE IN CONCERT AT BRANSON LANDING

Recognized as one of the best Dance, Party, & Variety bands in the Midwest, The Souled Out Band from Indianapolis, Indiana will hit the stage during Branson Landing’s Summer Concert Series over the Labor Day Weekend.   Whether performing in front of electrifying crowds of 8,000 plus at outside events like the Muncie, Indiana’s Mardi-Gras or the Indianapolis Colts Pre-Game Party, this band is always on.  Comprised of some of the finest musicians in Central Indiana, this band promises to amaze all with their spirited stage presence, dynamic musicianship and their known trademark…the always hot and always energetic…horn section!

Currently in their ninth year together, these musicians have a sound and energy all their own and they are bringing it to Branson Landing.  So…mark you calendars for Sunday, September 5th and join us for an unforgettable evening with The Souled Out Band – performing right in front of the Branson Landing Fountains.

American Kids, Inc., a non-profit national organization which has been helping kids develop in character strengths for over 28 years, will be on hand Monday to support Jerry’s Kids.  These local kids will sing from 12-5 and donations will be accepted to help MDA.

Mark your calendars because you don’t want to miss this special concert featuring Chain Reaction - A Tribute to Journey, in celebration of the Kswiss Ironman 70.3 Branson Inaugural Race, being held in Branson on Sunday, September 19, 2010!  Join us on Friday, September 17th in front of the Branson Landing fountains for what promises to be an exciting IRONMAN BLOCK PARTY CONCERT – featuring Chain Reaction, an amazing group of five performers known as one of the best tribute bands in the country, honoring the timeless classics of Journey and making you feel the magic all over again.  Don’t miss Chain Reaction as they take you back in time with the Big Hits like Separate Ways, Don't Stop Believin', Faithfully, Open Arms, Ask the Lonely, Be Good to Yourself, Who’s Cryin’ Now, Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' and more!

Professional athletes will be competing for a $25,000 prize purse. The course will include a 1.2-mile swim in Table Rock Lake followed by a 56-mile bike and 13.1-mile run with award ceremonies taking place at Branson Landing. BRANSON HIGH SCHOOL HOMECOMING RALLY

The Fifth Annual Branson High School Homecoming Rally is scheduled Thursday, September 30th at Branson Landing. Athletes, cheerleaders, coaches, the marching band and queen candidates will descend on the Branson Landing to rally for the Pirates.

The fun will begin at 8:00 PM as the BHS students leave the north parking lot – near Belk Department Store - and parade down the Branson Landing Promenade. The parade will end in Branson Landing’s Town Square - where the Pirate’s Pep Rally will begin.

This will be the 4th Annual Safe Street Trick or Treat for Branson Landing merchants to participate in on Sunday, October 31st. This safe Halloween alternative is exclusively for children in costume up to age 12.  Look for the Halloween Signs in the windows of participating businesses, located up and down the Branson Landing Promenade.

UNITED STATES AIR FORCE TRAVELING BAND IN CONCERT AT BRANSON LANDING
 
Join us for a very special performance by the United States Air Force Band on Veteran’s Day, Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 9 AM in front of the Branson Landing Fountains.  This concert will begin the Veteran’s Day activities with the Veteran’s Day Parade starting shortly after the concert - in Downtown Branson, at 11 am.
 
The United States Air Force Band is the Air Force’s premier musical organization.  It has endeared itself to millions of listeners for more than 60 years through its exhilarating music, engaging concerts and masterful recordings.  Since its formation in 1941, The United States Air Force Band has brought superb music and exciting entertainment to music lovers around the globe, earning its reputation as “America’s International  Musical Ambassadors.”
 
The mission of the United States Air Force Band is to deliver world-class musical products that inspire emotions, create positive impressions and communicate information according to Air Force objectives for the defense of the United States of America.  To achieve that mission, the Band has the vision of being a premier Air Force organization performing strategically designed musical missions – planned, packages and delivered with precision.
